Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy
The Chicago Public Schools' Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy program provides training for students interested in careers in public safety, law enforcement, criminal justice, and fire science. The 2 year program was develpped jointly by the Chicago Public Schools' Office of Pathways to College and Career, the Chicago Police Department, the Chicago Fire Department, and the City Colleges of Chicago. The program recruits and trains up to 250 public and non-pulblic high school students each year.
