Scholarship Opportunities

In support of Chicago's Money Smart Week, COUNTRY Financial has partnered with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to sponsor the Money Smart Kids Essay Contest. Students in grades 5-8 are asked to answer the following questions in 300 words or less:What is the difference between an investment and an expense? What would be a good investment in your community and why? Please discuss who would benefit from this investment. One winner will receive a $5000 scholarship. Two runners up will receive $2500 scholarships from COUNTRY. Complete rules and application information is attached. Essays are due March 21. Visit the Money Smart Week website for more information.

In collaboration with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, COUNTRY Financial is hosting its sixth annual Farmers Markets Reusable Bag Design Competition. All CPS high school students are eligible to enter. One student's design will appear on thousands of reusable bags distributed at downtown and neighborhood markets this season. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship and two runners-up will each receive a $500 scholarship. The entry deadline is April 5.
