The Maryville Academy Crisis Nursery offers a safe harbor for children 5 years of age and under when parents have nowhere to turn and no one to turn to during a family or personal crisis. They are a free center-based program where children may stay for as many as three days. Their goal is to prevent abuse and neglect of children and help a family stabilize their situation by providingsupport and resources. Examples of a crisis include times when families may experience domestic violence, parental stress, medical emergency, or need respite care. All Kids Program
All Kids Program is a complete healthcare program for every child in Illinois. Children age 18 or younger who live with their families in Illinois and who need health insurance can get All Kids. (KIDS) is a continuing service provided by the City Clerk's Office. KIDS works by taking a digital picture of your child along with information provided by the parents. This information is stored securely in the Clerk's office to be used only when police and the family report that a child is missing. Parents receive an ID card with their child's picture and fingerprint using new, inkless technology. The service is free to Chicago parents.
