Animal Wel-"Fair" Responsible Pet Ownership

Saturday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Featuring a Low-cost Vaccine Clinic by the City of Chicago Animal Care & Control
All pets over 4 months of age MUST have current rabies vaccination and current dog license or will be required to purchase one at the time of clinic(proof needed). All dogs MUST be on a leash or in a carrier, all cats must be in a carrier. Pets requiring muzzles must be muzzled at the event. You MUST be able to handle your pet around other animals.
CASH ONLY, please bring exact change. Only 2 pets per household are allowed at the event.
Fees: $7 for DA2PPL and FVRP vaccinations, $15 for Rabies vaccination, $15 for Micro-chipping, $5 for Dog Registration(neutered dog) or $50(un-neutered dog)

Medicare Advantage Plans (Medicare Part C)

Join us for this free program presented by Jeanet Reyes-Cordero, Community Relations Specialist for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Attendees will learn how Medicare Advantage Plans work and what to look for when choosing a plan. Also referred to as Medicare Part C, Medicare Advantage Plans are a type of health plan offered by a private insurance company that contracts with Medicare to provide people with their Medicare Part A and Part B benefits. Medical services are paid out by the health insurance plan rather than directly by Medicare. Most Illinois Medicare Advantage Plans include prescription drug coverage. The program is approximately sixty minutes and no registration is required.

Cast members from the ensemble will perform dramatic readings from the Ten Most Frequently Challenged Books in America during 2013, as compiled by the American Library Association's Office of Intellectual Freedom. The program will last approximately sixty minutes and no reservations are required.

The featured speakers will be Aldermen Roberto Maldonado (26th Ward), Ariel Reboyras (30th Ward), Ray Suarez (31st Ward), Nicholas Sposato (36th Ward) and Timothy Cullerton (38th Ward). The aldermen will discuss new business development in their respective wards, as well as their goals for the upcoming year. Proceeds from ticket sales are split between all participating parks and will directly benefit a new playground at Independence Park. Our goal is to sell out all shows (which we did last couple of years)! If you can't make it to the shows at Indepence Park, you can still support our fundraising efforts by attending Circus in Parks at another location.
